About Anthony DiNicola
I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and my interest in art began early on. My neighbor, a professional artist, helped guide me into the world of art.
As I became more confident, I started sketching and painting from life around Milwaukee's industrial neighborhoods, as well as areas along the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan.
In high school, I 'specialized' in commercial art at a Trade and Technical High School. It was then that I focused on the mediums of watercolors and acrylics. I learned a lot from my high school instructors. That turned out to be a springboard to my current passion for art.
I studied at the University of Wisconsin-Stout before attending MATC, Milwaukee. My interactions with fellow artists at UW-Stout from around the country have had lasting influences on my work.
To this day I find myself using that knowledge in everyday life. My instructors had a tremendous impact in my appreciation for art and what it has to offer each of us in different ways.
Thank you for reading, and never lose your love of art.
